Escambia COVID hits nearly 17 percent positivity

The Florida Department of Health reported yesterday that Escambia County recorded 240 positive cases for Tuesday, Dec. 15 – the most cases for a single day since Aug. 7. The positivity rate was 16.75% for 1,433 test results.

For the past three-days, the county has had 465 new cases, average positivity rate 14.11%.

YTD: 19,256 COVID cases; 17,148 Florida residents.

Escambia County has had five more deaths since Saturday. YTD: 337 deaths
