You’ve got to be kidding me. Is this really it, Rick? Everything is on Salvation Army’s back?
In other words, FEMA isn’t doing squat yet. Saw on Salzman’s Facebook (albeit, consider the source) that everybody was supposed to get busy turning their damage into the County while FEMA sits “on the sidelines.”
Gee what happened to all that assistance this republican super majority is supposed to be able to rain down on us? Or is it more important for this federal administration to downplay the storm because they’ve gutted FEMA and are funneling massive dollars to the Department of Homeland Security.
Don’t forget that the likes of Ashcroft, Tom Ridge, and Gary Hart stuck FEMA under HSA upon its creation, so that whole branch is a little tied up on more important things like raiding the houses of democrat lawmakers and disappearing migrants off our streets to unknown location with no due process.
And the State of Florida’s got nothing yet but to thunder and threaten the schools to open back up too early.
We were personally so blessed to have escaped the worst of the storm. Sincerely hope the people who didn’t will consider that the populace here is receiving exactly what it voted for. And that the voting public can *change* all of this inefficiency and squandered resources if they vote this republican oligarchy OUT of the ability to funnel all of our resources to their wealthy donors and their own re-election coffers.
The best part? Our government leaving hurricane aide to the very private churches and charities the populists are after with pitchforks, foaming at the mouth when they receive our tax dollars to help.
Actually, the best part is that, without a giant voter response ready to clean out the stables in Tallahassee, it only gets worse for the average Florida resident from here.
Had about enough yet?
