Escambia County has 48 new cases and one death reported today. Â The positivity rate since Sunday has been below 5%. The last time the positivity rate was above 10% was Aug. 17.
The signs are we could move into Phase 3 if we can hold these numbers. However, health officials are worried that the Labor Day weekend might lead to another wave of COVID cases in the second half of the month.

Businesses should maintain adequate sanitation practices among employees and patrons during all hours of operation. Menus, if laminated, should be cleaned after each usage. Paper menus should be designed for single use and then disposed of immediately after use.
