Gilley responds, bus drivers rebut

Escambia County Administrator Janice Gilley issued a statement in response to the bus drivers calling for her removal:

“I know our professional transit workers have been through a lot over the past year with the pandemic, and they are very dedicated employees. I appreciate the service they provide to Escambia County and its citizens every single day. I have always taken their concerns and their salaries seriously and will continue to do so. We’ve worked diligently to negotiate a successful collective bargaining agreement and will continue to work toward a resolution.”
