The Santa Rosa Clean Community System, Inc. will be joining the rest of the Keep America Beautiful Affiliates and volunteers across the nation and conducting our own county wide clean-up this Saturday April 22.
Kevin Smith of Keep Santa Rosa Beautiful ask volunteers to join the effort as part of Earth Day this Saturday and choose an area in the county to clean-up.
“Any public area (road, park, boat landing, etc.) or any area that is an eyesore in our county is fair game for the clean – up,” said Smith. “Help us show how much we love our county by joining the effort to keep our community as clean as we can.”
Dumpsters donated by Waste Pro will be provided at four locations:
Milton – Green Up Nursery, 6758 Park Ave.
Bagdad – Oyster Pile Boat Ramp, 4566 Water St.
Munson – Blackwater Baptist Church, 11689 Munson Hwy.
Floridale – Private Property 11601 Bliss Way
Supplies –trash bags, bottled water and safety vest–can be picked up at the Green Up nursery this week or at the dumpster locations on Saturday.
“A big thank you to Waste Pro with the donation of the dumpsters, Blackwater Pyrates and the Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners for helping with this great cause,” said Smith. “Last year we filled four dumpsters with trash and had hundreds of volunteers around the county helping with the clean-up; let’s do it again!”
