Joe the Plumber who confronted Obama at a rally and was a key part of McCain’s attack during the third debate isn’t really a plumber.
According to Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 50 in Toledo, where Joe lives, Joe never served in the apprentice program or got a license. The Miami Herald reports that Joe works for a small plumbing shop in Toledo that’s on call for leaky pipes, running toilets and gas leaks; but without licensing, he’s years away from owning his own business — legally, at least.
Joe isn’t talking to reporters any more. Why do guys like this ….and the GOP, if it’s discovered that they are behind this….ever think the press won’t find out the truth? This is another bizarre chapter in this election.
