On NewsTalk 1370 WCOA, we had Jay Saiter, Admiral 21 of the Krewe of Andres de Pez, to talk about Operation DePez Navy.
“Clay Usie was a high ranking army ranger and spent many tours over at Afghanistan,” shared Saiter. “He was just having a conversation with me a couple of days ago and said, ‘We’ve got family still there, and they’ve lost houses, literally uninhabitable. And it’s a war zone.’ So, when this was mentioned, basically I got involved and reached out to the crew. We got literally dozens of guys that showed up last night, helping us load many supplies.”
The Krewe unloaded an 18-wheeler at Pensacola Aviation Center last night. Saiter said, “We’ve got a lot of flights that are starting today, that’ll be flying over to Houma and Galleano.”
