Yesterday afternoon, the Studers’ attorney, Scott Remington, sent a letter to the CMPA executive director, Ed Spears, and the board’s attorney, Lisa Minshew, withdrawing their response to the CMPA Request for Proposals for the parcels at the maritime park.
“Based on the discussion at the December 17, 2014, CMPA meeting it is apparent that the proposal is not a good fit for the CMPA’s vision with respect to Parcels 3 & 9,” wrote Remington.
The withdrawal leaves the CMPA board with few accomplishments for 2014. No additional properties were leased. The naming rights have still not been sold, and no new revenue sources created.
