ECUA board member Larry Walker will be attending tonight’s town hall on drinking water. Organizer Teresa Hill called Inweekly this morning and said Walker had contacted her late Tuesday night about attending.
Larry Walker came to Pensacola in 1978 to be a faculty member at the University of West Florida, after obtaining a Ph.D. degree from the University of North Carolina. He taught at UWF until retirement in 2007. In 1988, Dr. Walker was elected to the board of the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA), and he now is in his 30th year in that office.
Great event. Kudos to Ann Hill and her team. For those that may of missed it check out Ann’s FB.
Only 1 panelist and one audience member defended the water we are drinking.
We have issues – but as citizens we can find solutions if we come to the table and participate.
