Monday noon update

The COVID-19 rollercoaster has returned to Escambia County. After a quiet weekend, the county had 18 new case reported this morning, bringing the total to 707. DOH Escambia entered 440 new test results – 4.1% were positive. The overall positive percentage is 5.3% for Escambia.

The state’s death total is approaching 2,000.

Southern Oaks Offers Signing Bonuses

The downtown Pensacola skilled nursing home that has had four residents and one staff member die due to the COVID-19 virus is offering hiring bonuses for new employees – per their Facebook page:

**$7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS to FT LPNS**
LPN positions for all shifts 8 or 12 hours. Should be personable with a desire to give the best care possible. The ideal LPN will perform various patient care activities and related services necessary to ensure that the safety, comfort and personal needs of the patients are met. New Management is excited to meet you.
· MUST BE HIRED PRIOR TO MAY 21, 2020
· $7,500 PAID IN FULL WITHIN FIRST 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT
